Attali on Sarko
Friday 26 1988:I stumbled upon this journal entry of Attali's yesterday. I wonder if he had any inkling this man might be president almost 20 years later?
Met Nicolas Sarkozy. Discussion on Europe, foreign policy, the role of the presidency of the Republic, etc. Rarely seen someone so sincerely passionate about public service. It's a shame he's not on our side!

I guess it tells you that Attali's book is not 100% self-serving BS. He also could see the obvious, which is good.
